The Golden Rule is all about "values": it's about treating other people the way you'd like to be treated yourself.
"If I treat you with my values and you treat me with yours, the Golden Rule both ways, and we discover we have lots of values in common then we will have in place the foundations for the development of a lasting relationship: business, professional, social or personal."
What do we mean by values? Honesty, integrity, faithfulness, kindness, fidelity, loyalty to name but a few: they are usually "on/off" things - you are either honest or dishonest, faithful or unfaithful.
Not everyone will have your values: treat them with yours anyway, provided you have the "on" version and you’ll do your career a power of good.
